Duties and Responsibilities
Center's Mission
To serve as a training center for newly recruited civil engineers, civil technicians, and interns involved in:
Bridge construction and rehabilitation.
To construct and repair damaged bridges.
To provide relief and emergency assistance due to floods and other disasters.
To undertake urgent construction projects as assigned by the Department.
Vision
“To be at the forefront of bridge construction and rehabilitation, satisfying the public, and developing into a learning organization in bridge engineering in the region.”
Mission (or Goal)
To construct and rehabilitate bridges to high standards using modern technology, supporting road transport, and resolving emergency and urgent problems conveniently, quickly, and safely, to the satisfaction of the public.

To increase efficiency in the bridge construction and rehabilitation process using modern technology.
To construct and rehabilitate bridges to high standards and ensure safety, satisfying the public.
To strengthen the capacity for emergency and urgent operations in the region.

Strategic Objectives
To strengthen the capacity for bridge construction and rehabilitation operations in line with development strategies at all levels. To ensure highway users' satisfaction, convenience, speed, safety, and a better quality of life for the public;
to elevate the standards of bridge construction and rehabilitation to international standards, and to conduct seminars to transfer knowledge and technology to other agencies;
to promote and develop personnel to keep pace with modern technology while managing with a system of ethics and fairness.

Establish an internal control system for procurement and performance evaluation of vendors and contractors.
Develop a manual of procedures and methods for bridge construction and rehabilitation.
Develop an operational plan for control and safety management.
Develop a plan for academic dissemination and public relations.
Develop a model for improving bridge construction and rehabilitation methods for speed and cost-effectiveness using modern technology and promoting the use of information systems in the workplace.
Develop a plan for the efficient use of machinery and a scheduled maintenance plan.
Develop a plan for academic training using modern technology and organize seminars to enhance awareness and participation of civil servants, including site visits to beneficial construction projects.
Develop a plan for evaluating performance during and after completion, both from external and internal agencies.
